Chief Mountain Hideaway
My cousin William was kind enough to meet me at his property in the high foothills below Chief Mountain. The drive from Hillspring was uneventful … the scenery was spectacular. The road is paved from Hillspring to Beazer. At Beazer you turn south on a wide gravel road.
Near police Lake you turn West on a smaller gravel road that is still quite presentable at model T Speeds. The road into William and Becky’s property is rough but quite doable at slow speed (about ¼ mile). The main property has one outhouse and the substantial building with a cook stove in several fridges freezers. There’s a large stack of modern picnic tables. William and Becky host large church youth groups for campouts and training.
The videos below were taken on my trip back from getting stuck on a muddy trail in the woods.
I’m not sure it will be able to get inside the church for a visit.
